I visited the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa recently and stayed in one of the private pool villas (My first!!), of which there are 26, but there are also 150 deluxe rooms, which I also took a look at and will post a pic or two here. On the northwest coast of Phuket, north of the airport lies Mai Khao beach, an 11 kilometer stretch of practically deserted tropical beach which is home to a number of luxurious resorts away from the noisy crowds often found on other parts of the island.
