“Guest friendly” hotels in Bangkok

Guest Friendly Hotels in Bangkok

Guest Friendly Bangkok Hotels

If you are traveling to Bangkok alone and decide that you would like to entertain a friend in your room, you may be in for a surprise at checkout.

A number of hotels in Bangkok, and Thailand for that matter, charge an extra fee for having an unregistered guest visit your room. Mind you, they only charge you if your guest is a Thai national…read into that what you will.

One way to get around this is to book for two people at the time of the reservation, however, if you show up with a different guest every day, that may not work. Calling the hotel in advance is of course an option, but how do you delicately ask about such a policy. You may try emailing a hotel before you arrive, however Thais are not famous for their prompt email replies.

All hotels have their own policies, but to save the run around of contacting each hotel individually, we have compiled a list of so called “guest friendly”, or “girl friendly” hotels in Bangkok- hotels that, as of the time of writing, do not charge extra when guests bring back a guest of their own.

The hotels range in price from as low as USD37 a night, and go all the way up to international 5 star hotels like The Davis Hotel Bangkok and the Plaza Athanee.

Hotel policies change over time and as such hotels that were previously welcoming of unregistered guests may change their stance. If you know of any hotels on the list that are no-longer accommodating of such guests, please feel free to make a comment below. On the other hand, if you know of any hotels in Bangkok that are “guest friendly” and are not on the list, we, and our readers would appreciate a heads up in the comments.
