Hi Aaron, thanks for the comment on my site regarding Cebu Pacific. Cebu Pacific may not be the best airline here in the Philippines but they offer the best rates. Oh no! SeaAir planes are small and I haven't tried flying with them either. Next time, stick to Philippine Airlines =)

Plaza Athenee is luxurious.... years ago, I stayed at Baiyoke Suite Hotel and I was completely clueless where it was located because I'm on a package tour so I relied on the tour guide to take me to places.

While pretty much all 3 star and most 4 star hotels in Pattaya are "guest friendly" the Erawan Pattaya is not on any of the girl friendly lists found around online, including the one linked to from this post.
If anyone has first hand experience with this hotel, leaving a comment would be very helpful.
You will find so called "joiner fees" for hotels that do charge run anywhere between 500 and 1500 Baht.

Yes, for while the tourism sector in Thailand makes up 6% of GDP, it employs 12% of the workforce. A quick recovery would benefit so many families.

Such tragedy that can happen when human rights are violated. But I truly believe that the hospitality industry will rebound quite quickly. I have heard from many travelers that they still plan on making their voyage to Thailand.
Thailand as a whole needs this industry for it's economic turn around. Such a beautiful country wonderful people.
